Academy Youth Training Club

What we do

Group fitness training for youth ages 7-16.

Fuel your child's athletic development in our Academy Youth Training Club. Through strength exercises, agility drills, and conditioning exercises, we aren’t just building better athletes — working hard in the gym forges mentally resilient, confident individuals.

Beyond the many physical benefits that come with strength training, our aim is to encourage youth to develop a passion for fitness that they carry forward into the rest of their lives.

OUR APPROACH

Strength Training and
dynamic PLYOMETRICS

Functional strength training allows for the building overall body strength, coordination and stability. 

Dynamic plyometric movements are used to enhance explosive power, agility, and speed by training muscles to produce rapid, forceful movements.

Combining the above develops a balance of strength, power, and agility. This approach helps athletes perform better and reduces the risk of injuries – ensuring a strong, durable base for future performance across any sport.

Owner, Trainer

Jarret Popowich

One of the owners and operators of Industrial Athletics since first opening in 2017, Jarret is passionate about seeing young athletes discover their athletic potential. Jarret is a certified personal trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA). Additional certifications include DTS Kettlebell Foundations and DTS Hypertrophy Fundamentals.

Brandon Baldassi

Brandon’s passion is centred around helping people solve their athletic problems and become more capable and resilient through training. Born out of a pursuit to resolve injuries and level-up his own performance, Brandon has formed a lifelong habit out of learning, training, and sharing knowledge with those who might benefit. He is a certified Olympic Weightlifting coach, functional and barefoot training specialist, and academic researcher.
